I am very excited to finally have the opportunity to have an exhibition in France. As announced 2 weeks a go, I will have my work shown in Paris during the months of November and December at Ikebanart located on Canal St Martin.

The opening will take place on October 30th at 7pm. You are very welcome to stop by and say hi and to see the final images chosen for the show.

I decided to select a few portraits that are really love, and linked to my vegetal inspirations. Nature is a huge source of inspiration for me.

To prepare the exhibition I made some print tests to make sure the pictures are perfect – it is always very useful to check colors. It is very important to make sure the prints are exactly how I want them to be. It is also very rewarding to see my work printed!

In our digital era we often forget to print pictures as I always remind my students during my photo lessons – not to have something only on your computer screen but also a physical photo that you will love even more!

As a photographer who sells fine art prints it is very important so my customers are happy when they buy my work.

For my fellow photographers who may read my blog, I cannot tell you enough how important to do so when you prepare an exhibition. The printed work is very different from what you see on screen. To make sure your show will reflect who you are as an artist you want to check the prints will be as perfect as possible. Sometimes you have to make some color or brightness adjustments, and it is better to do it beforehand, to be 100% proud of the work you hang on walls.

Je suis très heureuse d’avoir l’opportunité d’exposer mon travail en France. Comme annoncé il y’a 2 semaines, je vais exposer mes photos à Paris en novembre et décembre à la boutique Ikebanart située sur le mythique canal St Martin.

Le vernissage aura lieu le 30 octobre à partir de 19h. Vous êtes les bienvenus pour venir m’encourager et voir les photos.

J’ai sélectionné 10 portraits féminins en rapport avec la nature, qui est une grande source d’inspiration pour moi.

Pour préparer cette exposition j’ai commandé quelques tests d’impression afin de m’assurer que les photos exposées seront parfaites ! C’est toujours très utile de vérifier les couleurs.  C’est aussi une grande récompense de voir mon travail imprimé !

Je veux que les impressions soient de meilleure qualité possible et exactement comme je les veux. En tant que photographe je veux être sûre que mes clients soient 100% satisfaits de mon travail.

De plus, dans cette ère numérique nous oublions d’imprimer nos photos, pour ne pas seulement avoir une image à regarder sur un écran mais également un objet physique que l’on pourra chérir.

Pour mes collègues photographes qui lisent ce blog, je ne peux que vous encourager à faire de même lorsque vous préparez une exposition, ou un travail pour un client. L’impression est très différente parfois de la photo sur votre écran d’ordinateur. En tant qu’artiste, vous vous assurerez ainsi que votre travail reflète le mieux possible votre personnalité. Parfois cela permet de voir certains ajustements (notamment couleur et luminosité), et il vaut mieux s’assurer que tout est parfait quelques semaines avant le grand jour.
